Sagility BVBA, headquartered in Ghent, was founded in 2008. As solution providers, Sagility designs and implements automation lifecycle management solutions. Sagility's mission is to improve the agility of its customers by allowing them to :

Our Vision
We envision all complex material handling automation systems to be delivered with a digital replicum used to support its lifecycle management. During design this virtual facility will be build and used to ensure correct behaviour of the system. During implementation a Virtual Acceptance Test will become a standard milestone in the delivery of any automation component and training will be performed. During operations the Virtual Facility will become the core change management tool
Our Management
ir. Ben Mahy, co-founder and CEO Sagility
Ben Mahy directs Sagility's overall vision and business strategy. His extensive experience in the successful application of virtual automation technologies along the automation lifecycle are key to Sagility's success.
Prior to founding Sagility in 2008, Ben was owner and CEO of Simcon NV. He successfully grew Simcon into a leading European provider of simulation and scheduling solutions. Simcon was acquired by Brooks Automation ( Nasdaq:BRKS) in 2001. Ben graduated in 1988 as Applied Electrotechnical Engineer.
Ben lives near Ghent and is passionate about his kids basketball and systems biology.
ir. Wim Hellinck, co-founder and CTO Sagility
Wim Hellinck directs Sagility's R&D and operations. His 20 years of experience in designing, developing and implementing successful off- and on-line decision support solutions in material handling automation and semiconductor manufacturing are at the core of Sagility's solutions.
Prior to founding Sagility in 2008, Wim held senior software design and development positions at Applied Materials, Brooks Automation, Simcon and AI Systems. Wim graduated in 1988 as Applied Electrotechnical Engineer.
Wim lives near Ghent and is passionate about his sons basketball and about ballroom dancing with his wife and daughter.
