Imagine you can test nearly every part of the controls software for an automation system before going on site, imagine that you can find and fix a bug and resume testing a complex scenario within a few seconds.

Ghost Facility enables the controls software to manage a detailed 3D virtual facility. It connects High Level controls software with a digital model that represents a complex automated material handling system. Stop imagining and learn how to use Ghost Facility.

This set-up allows you to execute complex real life test scenarios with lots of items flowing through the material handling system. On the 3D model, you can follow the execution and see how the different parts of the system react. If the controls software is unable to control the system correctly, you can debug the scenarios using the extended logs, find and fix the bug and resume the test within a very short time frame. This saves time and reduces costs in development, testing and commissioning.

Technical specifications

Ghost Facility handles the connections, validation of messages, logging, message buffering, keep-alive/sign of life and serves the messages to the modeling environment via a built-in message system.

The message formatting can be fully configured from a unique graphical interface in the view of headers, tails, and the data format of the messages.Data in the modeling environment is translated  to the format of the protocols required by the controls software. This means that the modeling and controls efforts can proceed completely independently.

Ghost Facility is configurable and deals with a range of communication standardised protocols, such as RCF1006, STX/ETX packet protocol, and FTP as well as custom defined protocols.

Ghost Facility is a product by Xcelgo and uses AutoMod as its preferred modeling environment
